Year
2013

Executive summary

The Insurance Bureau of Canada was modernizing its public website and member extranet. The early work focused on aligning a complex set of stakeholder needs into a clear information and delivery model.

My role

I planned and facilitated joint application design sessions across stakeholder levels, translated business needs into technical requirements, and developed the information architecture and taxonomy.

Approach

  • Defined the needs of both public and member-facing experiences.
  • Planned for localized and region-specific content.
  • Established content-publishing workflow requirements.
  • Created a structured foundation for the member extranet.

Outcome

The engagement gave delivery teams a clearer set of requirements and a more coherent information model for the website and member experience.
