Executive summary

The Human Resources Professionals Association modernized its public website to align with a new visual direction, improve accessibility, and update the underlying publishing platform.

My role

I facilitated requirements sessions, completed a content audit, defined the authoring process, trained content authors, supported user-acceptance testing and maintenance, and configured development, QA, and UAT environments in Microsoft Azure.

Approach

  • Implemented responsive layouts using Bootstrap.
  • Designed term-based navigation to make a large information set easier to explore.
  • Built to WCAG/AODA Level AA accessibility requirements.
  • Connected the site to member and event-management systems.
  • Prepared content authors to maintain the experience after launch.

Outcome

The modernization gave HRPA a more accessible, responsive website and a clearer operating model for ongoing content updates.
